DIY Refurbished End Table

This post is EXTREMELY overdue, like 3.5 months overdue. Yes yes I'll admit it, I'm hoarding projects! Hoard no more I say it's time to let these babies out. So, today's post was inspired by the never ending apartment decorating project that's been in progress sinceeeee September? You'd think with an itty bitty 700 sq feet it'd be done, nope not me. Back to why I'm here, I was roaming through Ryan's garage for random projects to start. Before I even got into the pile SPOTTED...

This wittle beauty calling my name to save it. I've been needing a small entrace table for my keys and random stuff when I walk in. With my space being so small I knew this would fit PERFECT.

My darling friend Jo was in town from Tifton, GA and was ready to be my tag team partner on this project since it was my first time painting furniture.

A few things you will need for this project are:
  • Furniture (FREE 99)
  • Sandpaper ($2)
  • Primer Paint ($4)
  • Glossy Spray Paint [Color of your choice] ($5)
  •
  • A good friend :) (Priceless, unless you owe em a drink)

Okay let's get this baby started!
  1. Hey Jo! Okay so as you see we started off sanding the table down. This way the paint will grab onto the table better.
  2.
  3. Primer time! Just like you're getting your hair colored, sometimes you have to go super light before you can get to the color you want.

3.         Okay so table has been primed and it's time to get started on your color choice!

Canary Yellow :)

Sweet shot Jo caught of me!

Voila!

 4.    So we let the newly reincanated canary baby dry for about 45 minutes, it was cold out so maybe not even that long!

Couldn't have found a better spot for it to go! Now my keys and other accessories have a home.

*Note: Make sure you aren't spraypainting near any cars or somewhere where a lot of dust and dirt can fly into your paint.

Well let's hope the next post isn't too far out from this one. Event season is nearing!

Until then,

Tootles :)
